So I’ve always been an Interstate Batteries guy. Have had good experience with them. Fleet Farm has their own brand under Resolute and they are on sale this week. Plus they have a $10 trade in on old batteries and they cost about $25 less than the interstates (each). So there is a significant savings on each battery. I asked an automotive employee if the Resolutes would work as good as the Interstates. He said every battery is made in China with virtually the same components and the only difference is the label on the outside.

Has anyone used the Resolutes and what was your experience with them?

    Thanks

While there may only be 2-4 companies that make batteries, the number of plates, quality of lead do matter. That means that not all batteries are the same.
I will not tell you if one is better than another. That is your decision and your money. If it was me in your position, I would get the Interstatesas their reputation is second to non.
I have not used a flooded battery in 8 years, all I use are AGM batteries.

Where does your performance expectation and pocket book cross on the graph? I buy inexpensive Walmart batteries for 3 – 4 years of service and replace somewhere in that time frame before they have problems. Some feel comfortable spending twice as much for twice the service life. To me, it is all the same in the long run.

If I got 4 seasons out of them like I have with my interstates then I would be satisfied. Heck, even if I got 3 I’d probably be fine with that considering the reduced cost. Guess I’ll think about it but good to know Dave, thanks.

I’m on season 4 of my group 27 deep cycle Resolute battery that I use for my 55lb Terrova. I fish on average 3-4 times a week, and run the trolling motor almost the whole time (bass fishing), so I’ve used it quite a bit. I think it might be fading a little bit in capacity now, but still plenty good and should be good through this season.

I have a friend that used to buy those Resolute’s and had nothing but issue’s as I recall. I have ran nothing but Interstates for years, but now recently added one Napa Legend, it was out of ease for me as they will deliver to my work and I get a discount. So for so good with the Napa.

My interstates get changed somewhere between 400-600 outings. Between 2&3 years.

Buy me some resolutes and I’ll test drive em.

I dump them early in the decline and have gifted to have others use for another few years at minimum usages.
