Marcum xl-7 vs Vexilar Flx-28

    I’m looking to upgrade my ice fishing flasher.
    I have thought about getting one of these too. What are the pros and cons of these two different types of flasher.

    It won’t take you too long to find a lot of complaints about Marcum customer service on here. They make a good product but if something goes wrong, it’s a hassle.

    IMO vexilar was passed up long ago. They made a great product but rested on their laurels (spelling?). If it was me I’d look at the humminbird series. If you have a boat, transport it there in the summer. Win win.

    Look at your wants and needs and make a decision on that.
    Vexilar is a rock solid and simple
    Marcum has more bells and whistles but is more complicated.
    Helix ice 7 is more money, needs upgrade battery and most complicated, but has mapping with lakemaster chip. Summer use to with all season pack.

    Vexilar,bullet proof.I don think you will need it but they have good customer service.
