I have a VX-1 that the transducer should probably be replaced on. I have some further testing to make sure that is the case but does anyone know where I can find one in case I do need one? Having some real trouble locating this stupid thing.

There is a good chance i can find you one in my possession.

Some 10 years ago i had problems with my VX-1. I bought a new ducer. Turned out to not be the issue. Called Marcum for a fix, told them i tried a new ducer. They repaired for free out of warranty since i had gone an bought a useless transducer.

    Original one never went bad.
I think i know which box to look in to find it.

    Long story short.
Let me know if you want me to look. Send via PM.

If it isn’t working right, i’d first check your electrical connections and make sure the little spades and the wires connected to them are still good. Lots of times strands of wires can break and you’re down to 1 or 2 strands holding it all together running power. It acts like a weak ducer, etc…

Again, PM and i’ll set you up for a good price, or you can try it. Whatever. Pretty sure i can find it.

Hey man, I recently found out that my fathers puck on his vx-1 is broken from the last time he let me take it. It was frozen in the foam holder and I ripped the bottom trying to remove it. I can not find them anywhere or even get them from marcum directly as they are out of stock. Are you still willing to sell that extra?

Sure but only if Joe doesn’t need it
Lets give him a week to respond, then you can send me a PM.

I just got a chance to look through everything this weekend. I think I am all good! Another option you can look into, I did email Marcum before I made this post. They finally got back to me and said that since they don’t make the transducer nor do they have it in stock, if I sent in my entire unit (minus battery) they would give me a 40% discount on any new, in stock unit.

Thanks Joe, I thought you had resolved but didn’t remember.

Chase, if you want my spare, I’ll make a note to find it tonight.

FishBlood, do you still have the extra transducer? I’m in need of a replacement for a VX-1.
