MARCUM VS485C Issue

I bought a used unit in December – used it a couple times and it worked great. It had sat a month and I used it on Saturday.
Even before I dropped it down I turned the unit on and knew right away there was an issue. On screen everything is cloudy – the image is still there but it looks like the room is filled with smoke- so hazy and fuzzy.

I like most assume there is water in the camera. The plastic that the camera views through has no condensation and its hard to tell if the small camera lens has any on it or not?

Anyone work through this issue? Any advice? Could it be something else??

check the power cord that plugs into the back of the monitor, sometimes the pins can get bent. You could also just drop the camera head inside a bag of rice for a few days just to see if it removes any water inside you can’t see…

also, try testing in the house in a pitcher of water. easier to plug in and un plug and play with things.

Thanks for the help. I’m gonna work through a few steps myself – Also an email to Marcum to see what they think.

    Thanks

So I finally decided to dig my Camera out so I could send it in to Marcum. I decided to test it out 1 last time and now Damn it the stupid thing works perfect. Took 8 month of sitting I guess. So I’m thinking I’ll use this camera a couple times this year and the problem will come back. IS there a specific point where moisture can get into the camera. Maybe I’ll try and seal it up and hope it keeps working.
