Marcum shuttle

I pulled the trigger on 2 marcum shuttles. Have not used on ice yet, but hooked up my LX7 and fully charged the shuttle. Ran it all day in the house with the backlighting set at 30. At the 13hr Mark battery was at 30%. To me that’s a far cry from the 40hrs they advertise. I guess I can turn the backlight down further but that kind of sucks to be honest.

I mean it is a step up and I won’t run out of power when fishing all day but it’s not 40hrs, worried about my LX9. I bought one for it also. How long is it going to last with the camera?

I think the 40hrs is based on running their 5i flashers etc. if that is the case they should call that out. Just my opinion

Ran my lx6 all day from 8-4 yesterday in pretty harsh conditions . I use the black backlight or night set up, full screen and the side scale. I ended up at 55% battery life. I am impressed with the shuttle in every way. I figured the 30 hour run time was not realistic but if I can run near 2 full days on 1 charge that will be a huge improvement over the old heavy battery system.

You are correct, the 40 hours isn’t for the LX7. I heard from a couple marcum guys at the Milwaukee Ice Show that the lithium with an lx7 could give 14-16 hrs of effective use. I’ve had mine outside for 2 8-10 hr trips in cold (no shelter) and have seen similar results – 50 and 70% life left.
