When I got my first one that was delivered damaged Marcum actually called me to let me know what was going on with mine. I have nothing but good things to say about Marcums and the customer service you get with them.
On mine the on and off button does not work. . But my location hampers anykind of customer service so I just bought rechargeable batteries and change out every trip. . .

Their service is great. I dropped off my LX-5 that was 7 years old and paid to have it shipped back to me. A brand new unit arrived 5 days later for $80. I call that stellar service!!!
