Curious when people are using these smaller cameras when ice fishing- Do you have to hold it in your hand when using it or does it stand up on its own if there’s a flat place to place it? Thanks

Looking forward to feedback on this one. Been wondering the same thing.

I have used the carrying strap that it comes with and will wear it around my neck. Its light enough that it doesn’t strain your neck. The ability to have both hands free to move the camera, adjust the cord, and wind up cord helps. That’s how I have used them.

That is a great idea, I never thought of that.
    Thanks for the tip.

I just prop it up against some snow right next to my hole and next to my flasher. Works for me.

There’s also a threaded mount hole in the back either 10-24 or 1/4-20. You could improvise a mount pretty easy. I carry an lx-7 as well. The recon is perfect for figuring out whether you are in a school of dinks, and setting tip ups on the edge of the weeds. I also like to find some structure before I set a shanty.
