Looking into the Marcum PanCam MPC01 (includes the camera), Have a few questions I haven’t been able to find answers to yet:

    1) Is the PanCam’s “Manta Camera 1/3” Super HADD II the same camera used on the VS625/825SD models?
    2) Does the app allow color kill switching back & forth? LED light levels, etc? (Can’t get into the app itself until a pancam is detected)
    3) At what point is your phone/tablet data plan used if ever? Obviously when posting recorded picture or videos, but is that it?
    4) I’m assuming the Video out port disables the Wifi signal portion of the unit when used? Hopefully the wifi still isn’t on when plugged into a perm houses Video-In cable eating battery…

Regarding #4 – it must keep the wifi on in order to still all control of the camera? It must just send the video signal to both Wifi and the Video-Out port?

On #3 you will not use your data plan unless you are going to the Internet.

#4. Wifi is always on unless you go into the setting and turn if off. Doesn’t make any difference if your using it or not it’s always on and searching for connections.

    I believe 1 & 2 are yes but not 100% sure.

Another question would be how to send the video signal to a TV set (as Marcum shows for a Perm ice fish house in their advertisement video)

It turns out that yellow RCA port on the case is a Video “IN” port to connect a 3rd party camera instead of the Marcum camera, so the theory of plugging into a Perm Fish house video line isn’t an option.

Are they suggesting using a Chromecast type of interface to share the video from the wifi mobile device to a TV set?

just heard back from Marcum support, even though the Yellow RCA port on the pancam says Video IN, it also doubles as a Video OUT port, so that’s how you run it to a TV. I asked them to update their documentation. Their demo video is very misleading as they make it look like the pancam is sitting outside and they view it on their wheel house tv, unless they have a ridiculously long Video cord running outside (doubtful)
