I haven’t bought an underwater camera in a long time. What is a good camera that has direction and able to hook up to an external monitor and really good in low light conditions? Do they have DVRS? I’ve heard the Marcums are the way to go? Or is there another brand I should be looking at? This would be for mostly a soft water application and occasional hard water use.

Love my C-Fish. After I saw one work for ice fishing, I had to have one–$199

The C-Fish is kind of old teck. Mine is 2 years old and is a CRT and black and white, But you will love the remote!

Looks a lot like my Cabbalas that I bought 5 years ago-works great but is kinda clunky= I have a color camera and I have to say I can see stuff better than with the black and white I have. I scout multiple holes with mine, so if you sit in a house the clunky one might be Ok. Color is overrated Imo, some might say they want to find healthy weeds well if they are perky they are healthy if they are droopy they are not healthy- How do I know? Years of using cameras and pulling up weeds with my lures. AND I am not trying to sell you anything!

Anything less then a Marcum and you be settling for…well less. )

All of the Marcum’s will connect to a tv.
The Lx-9 has the built in recording.

Go for the largest screen you can afford unless it’s going to be connected to a tv 100% of the time.

It’s looking like I’m actually going to be getting on the water in a couple three weeks and will have some new fish video to post. Yeah, I’ll make sure there’s some walleyes in there too. )

    Just re read your post.

Keep in mind if you can’t see your hand 6″ under water, your camera won’t see any better. Marcum has the best low light system…but they can’t see through pea soup.

While I’m a Vexilar guy all the way for my flashers Brian is correct that Marcum seems to build the best camera. IMHO

I have owned 2 Aqua views and 2 Marcum’s and the marcum, IMHO, is far superior for picture quality and features.

I now own the Marcum Recon5+. Used it only once so far and it works great!
