Hey all, thinking about upgrading my flasher to a Marcum m3, but can’t seem to find any decent reviews on it. Have any of you had experience with it? How will it compare to a vexilar fl-8se(I’ve had the fl-8 for 4ish years now and am only upgrading because the transducer chord got cut) Is it worth the price point as compared to just replacing the vex?

Unless you’re just looking to change, I’d hit the classifieds or craigslist looking for a transducer. Put up a WTB listing and I’m sure people will reach out to you with offers.

A lot cheaper than buying a new flasher.

depending on where it is cut some places can and will splice them for you just another option.

Depending on how much you fish. I’d move to a M5 because it has the ability to change cone angles.
A M3 is definitely an upgrade because it has bottom zoom if you’re set on Vex, I’d at least go with a FL-18 for the same reason.

However, if the cord is just cut you can get transducers online or at Fleet Farm for under $100.
