When I charge the battery on the lx9 the light turns red then green after awhile. But when it turns green I can see it blinking red a little bit. Is that normal

When you turn your LX-9 on, what’s the voltage read on your gauge display? Typically a blinking red/green light signifies a bad battery. A new batttery should solve what you are seeing.

Id try to throw it on another battery to see if it does the same thing. If it doesn’t then I would lean towards a new battery, if it does then I would lean towards it being a charger issue. Be sure to check the inline fuse as well.

I have the same issue BKen. Disconnect the blinking charger with the battery gauge at 12.4 and then turned on the flasher. The battery was dead an about an hour or so.

    New battery time.

Marcum chargers suck… get a Battery Tender Jr instead, just make sure you reverse the connections on the battery end as Battery Tender’s SAE connector is reversed..

Snug up your battery connections and make sure the crimps on the connectors are good. Mine weren’t crimped very well and since I crimped them more, my charger has worked perfectly.

Bought a battery tender jr charges perfect now. I also crimped the connections on the battery end a little. Battery tender charges the battery to 13.2 volts now. Thanks for all help
