My unit will not charge when I plug it in. When I plug the charger into the outlet the light comes on green, and when I plug in the unit it stays green and does not go to red. Any ideas which part it would be?

This happened to me earlier this season..

Its sounds really simple but I would definitely check.

When I tugged on the cord that connects to the battery to connect, it would come off the battery…

My light stayed green, never turned red. Looked at the battery terminals and my positive connection came off the battery.

both of my connections are good, but my charger light is green and I only have about 11V.

Did you check the inline fuse?

Do you have a multimeter? Check what voltage you have directly on the battery, at the plug the charger plugs into, and the plug on the charger.

The charger supplier by any manufacturer of ice sonar are cheap and constructed to be as cheap as possible. I only use battery tender junior ‘s and they work great. Youll never go back

Here is the inline fuse that should be on your unit. It is a 2amp.

That’s a known issue with some Marcum chargers the LEDS are bad not the charger…..Call and they should send you a new one….

I finally bought the vexilar charger. Marcum charger is trash. $700 flasher, $2.00 charger. Vex charger works perfect

This just happened with a coworkers VX-1 last week. He brought it into Marcum and they said either the fuse in the charger had blown or there was a lose wire. He just got a new charger for around $30 and it works fine now.

I recently bought a Deltran battery tender jr at Fleet Farm. They were on sale and I can use it on my car that is in storage. I also went to Walmart and they had a charger for $10, so I grabbed one for my back up batteries. I loves these things, way better than the other chargers IMO.

It’s more than likely your charger. Just went through this. Picked a new one up at Fleet Farm and it solved my problems.
