Just purchased a marcum lx-7 with the lithium shuttle. Just wondering if I made a good decision (upgraded from Vexilar fl-8) and what all that package comes with? It wasn’t clear online. Thanks!

You should be all set. I just moved my LX-7 over to the shuttle and love it so far. Just waiting on the lakes to start locking up.

Are you thinking of converting to the LX-9 ? I had a 7 but sold that and got the 6… the 7 seemed too bulky for my style cool

Don’t convert to a LX-9. I have a LX-9 and Marcum has not updated the software for the LX-9 to fix issues with shallow water. They have done the LX-6 and LX-7(Firmware 5.10) but not the LX-9(Firmware 2.31). If you want a camera system, purchase one separately. Seems the LX-9 is the red headed stepson of the Marcum line. No offense to any redheaded step kids out there!

I went with the 6 over the 7 for the same reason. I’m very mobile and the 7 seemed too big for me too.

What do they both come with?? It seemed a little bulky but the lithium shuttle decreases the weight by around 5 pounds. The bigger screen seemed more worth it as well.

IMO the LX-7 with the bigger screen is absolutely the way to go. The lithium shuttle will help greatly to improve the weight balance and make it much easier to hole hope.

It’s exactly what I’ll be using this year myself and I’d say you made the right call waytogo

I was a vexilar guy and when my unit bit the dust, I switched to the LX7. I got it at the st. Paul ice show this year. By far the greatest unit I’ve ever used. So many features, yet so easy to use. I was a little worried because I like to hole hop too. I’ve had no issues doing so with this unit and LOVE the bigger screen display.
