Anyone have the number I have to call a actual person and straighten them out about my previously returned and so called fixed marcum recon 5. Unless I’m using it wrong again and is it only supposed to show a blue screen?

Just called and left a message. What’s the turn around time for returning a phone call. Everyone beware don’t buy marcum recon ! They should fire product development team!

If you click on James image above, or better yet looked it up yourself…you’d see they are closed today the 29th.

I think it is fair to give them a chance to resolve your issue before posting on an internet forum to not buy their product. mad

I turned my recon off and set it in the bottom of my house where it was cold. Went to turn it on a while later and it went to blue screen. No matter how many time I turned it off and back on it was blue screen. I brought it home and warmed it up and then turned it on. It worked fine, but showed a flashing low battery. Charged it back up and it works fine. I’ll see if it happens again, but I think I just drained the battery and that was all the power it could muster up.

I have had exactly 6 problems with my previous 3 marcum products, and all of them were handled well. Even though i forgot to register before warranties were over.

Ya I was and am super upset about it not working and couldn’t find the number while on the ice. Sorry for venting out here. I’ll let out my frustrations over the phone.

Good news is that it worked last night. Bad news as soon as I took it out of house and tried to use it on the ice it blue screened on me. When I get it fixed it’ll be the second time and has spent more time at with them on the lake. Sounds like a waste of 500$ considering I slated em without it today.

Looks to me like you are still venting here? Rather than “letting your frustrations over the phone”…perhaps just return it for your $ back.

Being that you “slated em without it today”… whistling

Oh..no shock This day has become a cataclysmic PR disaster for some IDO sponsors. These Marcum issues, the volatile thread regarding Otter zipper issues, and a vocal critic claiming Strikemaster electric augers can cause personal injury by breaking arms and more or less worthless as an electric auger option.

What IDO sponsor targets are left? TUCR, Ifish-Pro, Striker Ice?

Sorry about your Recon camera problem, customer service ph# posted above. ???

I recently ordered some gear from Striker. I went with the cheapest shipping option, and it was at my door in 32 hours. I almost thought it was a mistake! Kudos to Striker! Their gear has been nothing but great.

On the contrary, a friend who fishes with me regularly was less than thrilled with his recon after fighting the above-mentioned blueish grey screen and terrible battery life. He returned it assuming it was a lemon and got his money back. Perhaps the issues were more widespread?
