Marcum Camera Depth Display Questions

Checking out my equipment today and noticed that my camera Marcum vs825sd) is reading between 11 and 12 feet while sitting on the couch. Unhooked that camera from the vsand plugged it into the LX9 and got the same values dispayed. It looks like this is an issue with the camera itself. Anybody deal with this issue before and have any ideas?

Also, the camera from the LX9, when plugged into the vsd did not provide the depth or temperature readouts. I was thinking the cameras were the same for all of the Marcum products…am I wrong?

Smokin, I had that happen once and it was resolve by pressing the two lower buttons at the same time with the camera head at the zero position.

It’s been a while since I did this so I’m including a link to the manual that explains it. Takes seconds to calibrate the depth.

Hey BK – Thanks for the tip. It worked perfect and in seconds as you mentioned above. Who’d have thought the manual would have what a guy needed…..

An aside, how about a Marcum forum? There are forums on the site for Lowrance, HB and Garmin and although most of us are probably using our Marcum’s on ice, having a dedicated forum might make it a bit easier for folks to find solutions to problems like this one.
