Just picked up a VS485C at Cabelas tonight. It seems to have at least one dead pixel (may not be the correct term). Planning on taking it back and asking for an exchange tomorrow, but anybody ever see this?
Just while briefly looking this up I thought it was interesting I found this on an ebay ad for a Marcum VS825SD:
“LCD Monitor Dead Pixel Policy
There must be a minimum of 7 dead pixels to classify an LCD display as defective and be eligible for return.”
Technically you’ve made to right buying from cabelas. They will take it back and either refund your money or exchange. Call me old fashion but this is the only reason why I dont buy electronics online.
this is pretty much the same policy on ANY lcd screen sold nowadays….it’s a crapshoot on what you get out of the box… I’ve only ever seen dead pixels on old laptop screens many years ago… I would try exchanging it for a different reason than the dead pixels, might be able to avoid the hassle…
