Great time to watch some good basketball but even a greater time to catch Smallies, Don’t how it is on your lakes but on Dale Hollow and Lake Cumberland there is no better time to catch smallmouth than in March and its at peak when the games are on. You can go to just about every secondary point and they will be staged waiting for the water temp. to hit so they can go on the nest. Jigs and crankbaits are the best. Nothing to get 15 to 20 in the 3 to 4 pound range and sometimes a kicker that hits the 5 to 6 pound. Both lakes are great to fish if you ever decide to hit them give me a yell I can shoot you some information, Practice CPR (Catch, Photo, Release). And have a great time
