Getting to the end of Maple Syrup season here in Ham Lake. Have heard others in Northern MN are barely getting started. Hope you guys get a good week or two of trees running. Our trees are on a final run of the season and producing like crazy. Collecting 40 to 50 gallons of sap a day for the last few days. This season sure has been a long drawn out one with sap flowing slow for most of it. In the end we wanted to make 5 gallons of syrup this year. With this last run we will hit 7 gallons and are giving sap away. All ready thinking to next spring and what to change. Think our biggest changes might be going to collection bags instead of buckets and hoses. Been looking at a old shed in my back yard that just has junk in it now. New cooker and a sugar shack might be in order.

Wesaw bags and buckets all over in and around Duluth and Grand Rapids on Weds. The bags looked heavy on some of the tress. What will these +50 degree days do to the collection up there?
