Mankato Area Fishing Pier

    Looking to take my Dad fishing, he has Parkinson’s and is unable to be in a boat. Looking for a fishing pier in the Mankato area. Thanks.

    There are two in town I know of. One is at Hiniker pond the other one is on Lion Lake. Never been to either so not sure how much luck you will have. I do know Lion lake is a glorified backyard pond. Pretty sure there is one on Madison Lake at the boat landing also.

    Yea one at Brae park and one on the other side of the lake by the boat launch.

    I believe there is one on Duck lake at a county park. I take my son to the one on West Jeff and really like that one. We catch bass, occasional pike, and typically there are lots of little crappies and sunnies.
