Violating the order is not a criminal offense, but anyone who fails to comply will be asked to leave the business or organization. If they refuse to leave, law enforcement may be called in to remove them. Businesses violating the order could face losing any city license they make have.

Thank the illustrious mayor. Major paranoia. Her mask needs to be much larger so she looks like a talking head as well as sounding like one.

Yep the public experiment continues. Let’s just see how much Government control we can force on people. I know people who will not go to anyplace they are required to wear a mask. Just less business for already struggling businesses. Just what they need.

And I agree. I posted about the coin shortage and I’ll guarantee this is linked to government control as well as the masking of public people. Scare tactic is what is being used. The air is good, touch your face, your OK. Too much government control and tracking.

    Ya, sliderflushn more helicopters.

And the death toll is what? ICU is down.

Really. Live in your bubble and leave the economy open.

The mask is another scare tactic. Let the young spread herd immunity. The vulnerable can stay home.

Do you have any idea how long herd immunity would take? You really need to educate yourself about this virus. This is about a virus…not about the government….We are all trying to get it under control and need everyone’s help….

Better believe mother Mayo is the driving force here no doubt. They had a big influence on the original shutdown in MN from what I heard.

Anybody working on campus there? Curious how full the ICU really is?

The only thing going to get this virus under control is a reliable vaccination – if that will even do it. That is still a long way off. A lot of these businesses will be gone long before that happens.

If you believe that our government is not using this virus in any way – I think it is you who needs to educate yourself

The populus young will spread it fast. It’ll be spread amongst them first.

I’m thinking a couple weeks if we keep everything open.

Why not? The death toll is like 0. The hospitalization is now dang near 0 again
    Let it run it’s course.

Well maybe use it for political reasons?

We have a medical pandemic….but we laid off a large number of health care workers who are out of a job…..are the unable to care for sick people, were they just bad at their job? I probably wouldn’t understand, don’t bother explaining it to me.

A close relative of mine works on the Covid unit every so often (not the ICU), including today. That person says the number has been increasing.

    Here is another perspective:

I refuse to debate with others who do not understand the aspects of how this virus spreads to others. Vaccination will be a game changer…but until then Masks and social distancing are the game changers….and if you dont want to believe that….just remember it is you prolonging the devastation of the disease…No one else…ICU’s in Arizona, Florida, Texas and Nevada are filling up….Some states are asking for more health care workers because they cannot handle the influx of sick patients…Go ahead and ignore….When you are positive and asymptomatic but passing it on to others that is helping no one….I am out

I work in a place that is 100deg+ inside with 100% humidity if its 75deg outside. I am soaking wet after 30 minutes of work. And I’m nowhere near anyone for 90% of my day.
Who’s going to pay my medical bills when I pass out or fall off a ladder? Sure as heck ain’t gonna be me!

If I have to wear a mask to attend the ice show better believe I will be wearing one. Odds are we won’t have one though at this rate.

“Does not apply to facilities operated by the county, state or federal government.” So you can’t catch the virus at a government facility? Exemptions like this make me question mandatory masks. I wear a mask when I go in certain public places, but that is my choice.

Start of Covid MN had around 250 ICU beds, total.

Right now over 1000 ICU beds according to the MN Covid dashboard are filled. And

We are in the middle of summer, heat, outside activities, etc when viruses tend to behave a little better. Still, 1000 beds filled.

Someone who doesn’t want to wear a mask justify those numbers for me please

If you don’t want to wear a mask, don’t go into an indoor public setting. Not a difficult concept. I’ve been wearing one for 3 months in these situations. I felt like an idiot at first but after a while you just get used to it. Only a matter of time before a state mandate is made on this. No one is forcing you to go into a public indoor setting, you can just stay home instead, which would help even better.

I’ve been wearing a mask everywhere I go. Even fishing, on a boat, haha. Doesn’t bother me at all. I want to respect the person next to me, that is all. Just look at our neighbor Canada, no one complains bout masks and their numbers are way low.

MN dept of health don’t show anywhere near full capacity that you speak of. Numbers from 7-6-20

Are you looking at this graph? Look closer, it says TOTAL. That is the total number of patients in ICU over the ENTIRE pandemic. That number never goes down, just flattens out.
