While I really don’t have anything against the box varieties, I’ve been trying some homemade recipes from the Internet and haven’t been that crazy with them. Anyone have a good one?

This one can be made in a regular pot or an instant pot and it’s fabulous! I love adding sriracha to my mac.

My wife makes a really good one, the recipe calls for Panko on top but it’s better without it.

My trouble with making smoked Mac and cheese is having it end up creamy. The last time I did it with Gouda instead of mozzarella cheese and it was much better. Making cheesy hash browns in crockpot right now.
Sharon Sriracha is a nice touch I love it!

I love most all Mac n cheese. But I really don’t like Velveeta cheese or similar.
Sorry, no recipes, but I’m very good at eating it. waytogo

Any Mac and cheese worth making has bacon in it or at least some kielbasa and topped with either french fried onions or crushed chili cheese Frito’s. I will start with the big pan of frozen Stouffers Mac and cheese and doctor it from there and usually smoke it. I’ve made probably 50 pans of this stuff and always get compliments.

No way. The Mac and cheese needs to stand on its own. Maybe some breadcrumbs to crisp up the top but no extraneous ingredients.

I could maybe allow the bacon but French fried onions? That can’t be good.

Take the time to grate your cheese from the block instead of buying the bagged stuff. They put some anti-caking stuff on the bagged stuff that makes it melt into clumps when using a bunch of it at a time.

Funny you bring that up lol

Last night the Boys saw Mom grating cheese for part of dinner.

Ben legit asked her, “Mom, is that what people did back in the olden days?” jester
