Plus on 03/01/12 the canadian govt finally realized that a DWI is NOT a felony in canada, so if all you have on your record is a DWI, then you will NOT be rejected into canada. They realized the amount of revenue lost with this limitation. The official press release is expected some time this summer, but the immigration officers took this into effect on 03/01/12.
I would still call the port of entry into canada just to make 100% certain.

Check this post also.. if you scroll down, you can see the cabin we stay in. It is one of the older cabins, the others are alot nicer but we don’t care, we don’t go there to sit in the cabin… we go for the awesome fishing. Past post on Brisbois
