I recently updated to an LX7 from a FL-18. Overall I’m impressed. I mostly use the chart display and the vertical zoom display. I do have a couple of questions.
1. I use the six color display most of the time and for whatever the “blob” just seems so dang big. I don’t know if that’s good or bad yet. On the vex, the “blob” was much smaller. It was easier to read. Is there just a learning curve? It seems the LX7 is way more sensitive than the FL-18.
2. When I hole hope there are times when I almost have to “redefine” and find my depth which leads me to changing sensitivity settings every time I hole hope. What am I doing wrong?
3. When I use a lure such as a Genz worm, it is tough to find unless I turned the sensitivity up to two and then it’s almost too big again. Thoughts?
Overall I think it’s just so much more sensitive than what I’m used to and there is a learning curve. Thoughts?
Thanks!
