I have a 3 yer old LX-7 the has always worked great. This year when I powered it up the background was yellow-orangish when set on blue background and was very difficult to see in sunlight. Battery was at 12volts, factory settings were re-set and I checked the connections. Anyone else have this problem? Pic is attached

I had the same thing, I believe it was the graphics card, Marcum replaced it for no charge.

I guess we are getting into the time where we will see the longevity of digital vs mechanical flashers. I’ve had my LX7 for going on it’s fourth season with no problems, but last year I did pick up a Vexilar FL22, they are a backup to each other, and allow me to argue with myself which is better.

I never sold my hummingbird 35 for just this reason. I will say that Marcum has some of the best customer service I have dealt with, but that doesn’t catch fish when it goes out. The technology is awesome in the Lx7, but dependability has been an issue with mine.

Resurrecting this old thread to find out if this indeed was the issue ie graphics card. Mine just started doing this. I contacted marcum but considering some of the recent posts here I’m not expecting a speedy response.

I wanted to add a comment to this because Marcum seems to have been getting some flack lately with people having issues getting responses from them. I have a feeling the reason they were having issues was how they contacted them.
I went to the website and sent an email to [email protected]
This generated an automated incident within their ticketing system which I received that email immediately. I sent this on the weekend so didnt expect a response right away Monday, but sure enough, my ticket was commented on Monday where they inquired about whether it was still under warranty etc.
I told them it wasnt and he replied again within an hour or so and gave me all the lowdown on what I needed to do, how much it would cost and how long it would take.
He didnt answer my question as to whether it was the graphics card itself, but they go through everything for a flat fee. I havent sent it in yet because I wanted to use it the rest of the season first, but I was happy with the quick response to my questions.
