LX-6 vs. LX-7

I’m hoping to pick one of these up and trying to decide which one. The extra $100 could be well spent on other things, but at the same time, I don’t want to put myself in a situation of buyers regret, wishing I had bought bigger.

How big of a difference is the 7″ vs. the 6″ screen? Are there other advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?

Get the lx7 much bigger screen and u can upgrade it to the lx9 if u choose down the road it’s worth the extra 100

Agree on the 7 myself nice to have big screen expecially when splitting with graph. Well worth the extra $ any day in my mind had the 6-7 and now 9. barely a difference in weight as well. You can google this in Ido archives been discussed numerous times.

I chose the 6 and got mine at the St Paul show. I haven’t used it yet, but soon. My decision for getting the 6 was because I am a run and gun type of fisherman, so the smaller footprint and a bit lighter made my decision. If I had a permanent house that had room, I’d get the 7.

    Just my thoughts.

I like my lx7. One of the selling points for the bigger screen is using it in graph mode, I can walk away and I’m still able to see if anything is swimming through.

I had the 6 for about two weeks before I moved to the 7.

    The LX 7 is an 8″ screen… It’s a pretty big difference.

I started with the 6, then i bought a 9, now i have the 7 and 9 and sold the 6. Screen is way smaller at least it feels that way when you put them side by side. Also I am not one to complain about hole hopping with a bigger unit. Its not that heavy to pick it up and go hole to hole, I do it all the time. So dont let the 7 stop you because its a little heavier than the 6.
