LX-6 issue?

Hi guys. Yesterday I was able to get out on my local lake here in southeast Wisconsin. I only got one bluegill and a bass but I was only out for about an hour and a half at mid day so I was happy with that. Felt good to get on the ice because I have not been able to for a few years due to back issues. As I got my gear together getting ready for the season I updated the software on my LX-6. When I was on the ice I had to crank everything up to try to see my lure. I know there have been a few posts about this software update and I have read through them. After I got home and looked through the forum I checked and my unit was in gain 2. I changed it to gain 1 and I hope that may help. The question I have for you guys is was it simply operator error on my part being in the wrong gain setting? I hope it was that simple. I wont be able to get back on the ice till after Christmas to see if it worked. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope everyone has success if your out on the ice. Thanks in advance for any replys.

I had my LX-7 out the other day and finally had some time to mess with it after the update. I used gain 1 to. I did try gain 2 but I also had to jack up the sensitivity. If I remember right I also had to turn it up when using 20 degree cone angle even when in gain 1. But I do like the new update.
