Hey y’all, newbie here. I’ve been fishing some stocked rainbow trout lately and have given this lost and found lure from the back of my tackle box a try. Problem is it’s great and I want to get more but cannot find anything that looks like this or has action similar. Any thoughts?

Looks like a Lazy Ike to me.

Yep that’s a lazy ike for sure, or some knock of off it. Try any garage sales, most old flip style tackle boxes housed a few of those. I think I still have one from back in the day. Try Ebay I suppose.

I’d say Lazy Ike or Helin Flatfish. Looks like Yakima Baits makes a modern version of it (or something pretty similar).

I say Lazy Ike as well. May be a hard find. I believe they stopped making them in the early 60’s. They have become collector items and hard to find these days. I caught more than a few fish on them in my younger days !!!

With that sharp flat front edge looks more like a Flatfish to me. Does the bill flair out a bit and is wider than the body? I remember the Lazy Ike’s bill being about as wide as the body and not having a real sharp leading edge to the bill.

    Well here you go.

Lazy Ike’s were made of wood. That looks like plastic. It is a flatfish type of bait possibly of the name brands mentioned or a knock off.

It’s not a Lazy Ike. I’d say a Flatfish or knockoff.

I picked up a couple of them in the past at Antique shops for around $3-$5.
