I have a 79 lund mr pike. Does anybody have any ideas on how to easly remove the glue from the side of the boat? Last owner glued carpet on the side and i want to remove it.

After searching for carpet adhesive remover on the web a bunch of different brands came up. I would suggest checking at menards, wal-mart, or target. It is going to be a nasty, dirty, and time consuming job but it can be done.

If your putting new carpet back over, I would just leave it on and put the new stuff right over it!!

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I’d use a wire brush wheel on a high speed grinder.

I am not going to replace the carpet. Hooks get caught in it and i dont like the look of it.

I have the same boat. I would remove carpet, and glue foam padding to the bow sides.I have alot of my favorite lures hanging there all the time.
