Corrosion Holes in Lund Hull

My Neighbor was washing out his boat from last weekend’s activities, and noticed a half dozen little holes in the bow near the keel. Looks like it corroded thru the hull? Its a newer boat, a 2002 16′ Rebel model. The floor is preventing any view of the inside, to see whats going on behind it. Does Lunds warranty cover that? He’s the 2nd owner? What caused the damage? I’ve heard of rodent urine doing it, but this is stored in his garage, and he’s never had any sign of mice. Thoughts?

    Thanks for your reply,
Think that could be the case? even in freshwater? It’s in the deepest part of the keel in the bow. So, the water that gets in the boat is going to settle there, and likely dry out last. Think the battery, or acids could have something to do with it? Is it a damge that is likely covered under warranty?

I have personally seen it in a lund pro staffer boat about 10 years ago.
The boat wasn’t even a year old.
I wish I could remember the exact wiring snafu.
Yes, fresh or salt doesn’t matter.

Call Lund and talk to their warranty department. I would get some pictures so you could email them.
