What’s the word on the street about the new Fiberglass Lund?

    Good? Bad?

    ditto!

I haven’t even really “studied” it because of the sticker shock.

It would be no different then a new Ranger, I think they are over priced also

The Rangers have the track record that Lund does not yet have.

As far I I’ve understood. I could be wrong. Ranger is built with more of a glass platform where the Lund “glass” boats are built with more of a tin platform. That means Lund will have a rougher and wetter ride.

I can assure you, if it’s a dollar to dollar comparison. There will be a Ranger in my garage before a Lund. .

Kirt, I heard there was a sale on swim jigs in the bass forum…please…go check it out.

Besides Lund doesn’t have the glitter needed for a bass boat.

Seriously, I haven’t heard anything about them (the Lunds)…which I thought odd.

    Has anyone been in one?

They do ride well. I was at a on waer boat show and we had the glass boat there It rode OK and was dryer than the regular Lund’s.

From speaking to several different Ranger owners, that is probably a good thing!

If they do, I hope they will be able to supply insurance for it too. It’s not like a person can go to any Insurace company and get it for a 300 hp motor.

actually the insurance issue is not a problem. with some carriers liability may already be automatic with coverage being extended off the homeowners. generally, companies with boatowners type policies, would not have a problem with a 300 hp outboard for this class of boat.

Was looking at the Lund GL series last weekend. I’d like to say, I was not impressed. Now, that’s to be taken with a grain of salt. It’s a good looking set up, however I didn’t like the layout. I’ve never really thought Lund was good about full use of available storage space.

Prices are comparable to Ranger prices (Lund is a little higher). So with that being said. I’d get a Ranger (tried and true) over a Lund GL any day. Especially since the prices are about the same.
