With the same motor and equipment the ProV is about $4500 more. The floor plan is a bit different with me actually preferring the Impact. Better live wells in the Pro v but I don’t fish tournaments. Resale goes to the ProV. Does the IPS II ride and fish noticeably better than the IPS as advertised or is it hype? I’d appreciate feedback especially from those that have been in both. Thanks

Both are nice boats! I have heard the pro v rides a little better. I looked at both and ended up with a pro guide. I think the pro v will have a little better resale. I think the impact was made to compete with the alumacrafts at that price point.
May 28, 2013 at 10:26 pm #1173993I can’t really comment on how the Impact compares to the Pro V but I do know I really liked the Impact layout when I looked at them at the sportshow.
They are a pretty hot selling item for Lund right now and I am not sure the Pro V would get the nod for re-sale.
May 28, 2013 at 11:40 pm #1174012Got a 1875 ProV with 200Vrod and 9.94stroke kicker. 7th or 8th Lund 4of them ProV’s and a couple of Tyee’s. This ISP hull is a definite improvement. Rides smoother and a bit higher. Can’t say anything about the Impact. I have a double bubble and sort of miss my full winshield on cold windy days. Also thought under console storage was a standard – nope…with all of the crap I carry it would have been nice. Whichever Lund you choose you can’t go wrong…just don’t let them underpower it to save a few bucks.

Great looking boat. I’m in the market for a new boat and the 1875 or the 1975 is right at the top of my list. Could you PM me so info on the boat. As far as performance. How does it track while trolling? I think I will be putting my boat up for sale soon. Thanks

The 1875 is more stable in heavy chop. It’s ride is smoother over big waves and drier too. A hige difference is big wake from river boats the 1875 seems to be more forgiving coming out from behind these big boats. I put the pro package in mine so I have the under console drawers which are very nice to have. I also put the jump seat in it to give me a casting deck for the wife while we musky fish and extra seating when we bring people out. It seems this boat rides way better than my last pro v so I’d say spend the money and get the pro v over the impact. Good luck on your decision making!!’
May 29, 2013 at 12:01 pm #1174080Kind of looks like the Impact replaced the Mr Pike. A big difference between the two is the max hp – 150 on the Impact and 200 on the Pro-V. That makes quite a difference in cost. Pro-V is slightly wider and about 400 pounds heavier. The IPS2 will be a dryer ride. Pro-V will have more bells and whistles.
I would max out the Impact with a 150 hp and at least a 175hp on the Pro-V, if not a 200hp.
With the savings on the Impact, it will allow you to purchase a trolling motor and depth finder, etc. The big question is: which do you need, which do you like better and which will you want in 5 years?
