steering cable

    I have a 1988 Lund Tyee 5.4 it is a 17.4 ft. boat and i am going to need to change the steering cable before spring can anyone tell me exactly how i measure the cable to order a new one and get the correct size?

    Pull it out and measure. You will have to eventually.

    There should be a number on the cable near the end by the engine, it will give you the brand and length..if you can still read it
