I hate to put another post about the boats I’m considering buying, but archery season is winding down…no ice in northern illinois..so I’m bored & it’s nice to have another perspective with a purchase. So here it is:

    2000 Lund 1900 Pro Vs…200 optimax, 9.9 merc kicker
–older electronics and trolling motor, Cover, Shorelander roller trailer that had a previous salvage title but has since been resolved. ASking price is a firm $14K.

Obviously, I need to research the title issue. THe boat has never had a salvage title. The boat is in great shape. Owner bought it 2 yrs go at an auction. Is this a fair price..I’m looking for a deal this time of year.

If you’re looking for a boat that size and are willing to look at glass, shoot me a pm. I know of one in Sparta in that 19′ range with a 200 opti and 9.9 merc 4 stroke kicker.

sounds like a decent price if the motors don’t have a ton of hrs on them and the floor is in good shape

How many hours on it and a compression check are two things to look at. More than 600hrs on the engine, and I would not pay that much. Less than 500hrs and decent, fairly equal compression across all cylinders, sounds like a fairly good deal.

Do these motors have hour meters on them. I didn’t see a meter on the dashboard. Have any idea what the compression should be?

Optimax motors have a computer on them that store hours and other data. A dealer can pull the numbers. If the boat has SmartCraft guages, the hours will display on that guage.

    Compression should be 100-110 psi.
No mre than 15 psi difference between the highest and lowest cylinder.

You can google other specs. Also a lot of info vids on youtube.

The boat specification is great and price too. You should grab this boat.
