I am thinking about pre-buying a lund pro staffer boat. I would like your feedback on this boat and would LOVE a pool 4 test ride if anyone will be down there in the next month or so. I am currently in a Skeeter WX1850 but looking to upgrade to a more tournament quality boat.

    Thanks in advance guys/gals

The 202 is a awesome boat. Handles the waves great and trolls even better. You should talk to Jim Peters, he is a regular on this site. I bet he would take you out. Heck he might even sell ya his boat.

The 202 is a great boat. Mine is in storage for at least 6 more weeks otherwise I would take you for a ride. What motor do you like I have the 250 Pro XS since that is my choice of motors.

I’ve ridden in the Lund, the ranger, and the warrior. I’m getting the itch to move out of my Lund tyee 1950. The warrior 2121 is really impressive. Talking to the actual company owner really helped. Now it’s just trying to squeeze $75000 worth of diamonds out of my tight $&@/ to pull the trigger. The Lund was nice, but the glass work and materials used are what gives the edge to warrior. Me and Brunswick just can’t seem to be friends anymore.

I was looking at the 300 verado because I wasn’t sure of the performance with the 250 verado. What kind of numbers and hole shot do you get with your pro xs?

The 202 is made in Sea Rays plant. The glasswork is about as good as it gets. The fit in finnish is superior campared to other brands in my opinion. The 250 Opti proxs will run around 56-58 mph depending on conditions. The holeshot is good. Jbobs boat has a jackplate on it and the boat really performs. Not only on plane but trolling. Jim and I fished on Mille Lacs and he let me control the boat. I was impressed on how well the nose tracked with little effort. Having the lighter engine on the back makes a big difference. I also think the opti gets better gas mileage at wide open throttle too. Take Jbob up on his offer before you buy. You might like his boat and get a good deal on it as well. Jim is on Lunds Prostaff.
