I recently bought a 1999 1900 lund pro v se and so far love the boat but I have a few questions if anyone could help me out that would be great. 1) having issue with the front live well doesn’t work I can hear the pump working and if I force water in were the screen is in the live well it will pump water in my driveway drain it and bring it to the lake and it don’t work any thoughts? 2)also thinking of replacing my front bow trolling motor can I get any with a 52″ shaft or will I kick myself in the butt? 3) was also thinking of getting a vantage but already have a 9.9 kicker do I really need a vantage I don’t do a lot of walleye fishing but do enjoy fishing for them
let me know what you guys think

Possibly there is an airlock preventing your livewell from pumping water when you are out on the lake. That happened a lot on my 1996 Lund Pro-V. The solution to the air lock is to slam your motor into reverse to force water through the hose to the live well.
As far as the shaft length goes, I recommend the 60 inch shaft. A shorter shaft will work, but I believethe 60 is best for your Pro-V.
I had a rear electric on my Pro-V as well as a kicker and I really liked it. My current boat has only the kicker on the stern and I miss having the electric on the stern.

AS honest john said drive the boat in reverse to force the water in to the intake. Also i think you will have a switch mounted some where for front and rear livwell that says fill, empty and recir set on fill when needed. 60 inch will be best for trolling motor on bow,the vantage is sweet but if your not doing alot of back trolling maybe pass on this I think they are approx, 1000.00$ give or take. You will like at least 80# thrust on your trolling motors witch will require a 24 volt system 2 new batteries.

Same thing with my 1996 Pro V that I used to have. Once in a while you have to force water into the intake by putting the motor in reverse and hammer the throttle.

    Jeremy,

I have a 1900 Pro V and you will kick yourself if you don’t get the longer shaft trolling motor… The 52″ might work in perfect conditions but once you’re in waves you’ll want the longer shaft to avoid having it come out of the water. The Vantage is sweet but if you’re only going to be using it once in a while you can easily get by with using the kicker and a drift sock to slow your troll.

my 90 prov livewell does this. if i let it run eventually it starts pumping but yes, i generally have to slam it in reverse to get it to start filling.

Pull the valve infront of the pump. The valves were put together wrong. If you pull the screws out and watch how the valves work you will see that they are in the wrong position. Reposition the valves so the water will flow in the fill mode. That was a known flaw with the valve company. Definitely purchase the 60 in shaft.
