Lund Pedestal Base Question

    Does anyone know if the air/ride pedestal bases on newer impact models are different from the bases used for the standard fixed pedestals. Can you mix the pedestals on the same boat?

    Yes you can as long as they are the same size and style as the reciever.

    On my new boat order I took the air/ride option for the first three seats then tried to order a fourth seat with a fixed pedestal and Lund kicked it back saying it wouldn’t fit
    base and I had to go air/ride on the fourth also. The fourth seat will hardly ever get used so I didn’t want the extra expence of the air/ride.

    I have a 2016 impact. The bases are not tapered any more. The dealer threw in an extra ped, I took the seat from an extra I had, and put it on the new ped.

    My dealer thought the air/ride bases were larger than the standard pedestal bases but that was wrong they are the same. I’ll almost never use the fourth seat so don’t need air/ride for it. Dealer said he’d give me a fixed and credit the difference. Matter resolved.
