    Mike,

You hit the nail on the head. I am looking for a console that is why I chose those two models. Plus, I am limited to how much space I can store the boat. So, the largest I can go is 16’9″ of boat and motor. This obviously does’nt include the trailer. I am trying to get the best boat I can with the limited storage I have.

The most frustrating part is lack of communication via email or phone call from either dealership. Neither one has follwed up to an answer to a question I have. Or just even to check in. Seems poor to me!

Move on to another dealer. They are all over the place. If you can’t get a answer now what will you do when you really need them?

Mechanics are working their butts off winterizing boats and getting them ready for winter. Salesman??????????? Not doing a thing this time of year.

As far as maxing out the motor my opinion on it is that you don’t have to be maxed out but you want to be close. My boat is 70/80 and it has plenty of power.

As far as Lund v Alumacraft I prefer alumacraft but they both make excellent boats.

I love the competitors. I sit in the one at my dealer several times a year dreaming about buying a new one. That boat however I would max out. My boat is a 96 alumacraft dominator cs and it’d about 250-300 pounds lighter than the competitor cs. I see the competitor with a 75 on it a lot. I’d be curious to know the performance with a 75 as I can only get 35-36mph out of my boat with a 70.

Iv had both an alumacraft and lund boat. Lund makes a better boat! Price wise the alumacraft will be more appealing but i had issues with the fuel tank, gauges, and live well. Almost everything seems to be built by the lowest bidder.
