    2000 Lund Pro Sport 1600
I am replacing the livewell pump and found tapered plastic washers on the inside and the outside of the transom on the water exit tube. They seem to be so that the exit tube will be parallel to the water and so that the twist-on washer that tightens on the pump exit tube will fit flush on the transom.
I cannot find the tapered washers on any web site.
Any ideas about the need for these washers or where to get them!!!
    Thank you.

Unless the washers are damaged, can’t you just reuse them?

The attachment shows the washer/spacer. Has anyone seen these before on a LiveWell pump?

Ken – Probably unlikely to find something like that, unless a Lund dealer would have them. I’d either make a new one, or put a flat nylon washer on each side of the damaged one and fill the broken out part with epoxy and let it harden before installing. Doing this “should” keep the split washer from spreading open when you tighten the retaining nuts in place.

If these also act as seals besides being spacers, the original one should probably go on the outside.

It always seems like what should be “a ten minute project” turns into an epic battle….. Good luck.

Solved: These are called “transon shims” and are available on Amazon.
