Dam nice ride man!! That a new motor style or what, that looks freaking spanky right der
Just picked up a 1775 Impact XS, 115 Merc ProXS motor. Love it so far, but after riding some big wake on the river this weekend I can see what people are saying about it not handling that the bes. Also in the wind and current tracking was somewhat difficult compared to my older 1997 pro sport. I still love it though, and it will suit my needs just fine. I don’t spend a ton of time on LOTW and Mille Lacs, worst I ever get is 3 ft rollers on big bay on lake vermilion and this should handle those good enough for my purposes.
Ditto on Kyle’s remarks. Had my 1775 Impact XS/115 Pro XS for two months now. I swear my 1625 Rebel Sport tracked and rode better especially in any cross wind. Even have trouble keeping it lined up for the trailer approach. But it is the best laid out and roomiest sub 18 footer on the market for a family plus grandkids. What kind of speeds do you get Kyle?
hey Ronald, currently running a 4 blade aluminum spitfire with I believe 17 pitch (I’ll confirm tonight). I am pulling 43mph with just me and my gear, full tank. Last weekend we had some friends in the boat, so 4 adults total plus my fishing gear which I always leave stored in the boat (very happy with all of the storage options in this rig). I still got 40mph which i’m quite happy with. I usually buzz around at 20mph because gas mileage is much better of course. Love the fact that this things can cruise at idle speed and not be heard! My last boat had a 90hp merc 2 stroke that was LOUD, but it was a great motor.
I haven’t had any trouble lining up on the trailer, but I am running the vertical rollers which helps on the river where I spend most of my time. Also, every boat I’ve been in is easier to line up than my very first 1979 Lund S16 with a mismatch trailer that was not designed for it!
i boutgt the xs prerig for honda.i think lund rather merc cause merc and lund both belong to brunswick. i guess lund better price with merc on

Manuel, I think he was just saying that was a mouthful.
I bit hard to understand.
I read it three times (I’m slow) and got your drift.
A Lund is less expensive with a Merc on it then with a Honda. Brunswick, the maker of Merc and Lund likely have a lower price because they make both the boat and the motor.
Am I far off?
thanks thats what i was thinking lol. i m french canadian and my english writing may confuse
I end up pulling the trigger on a 2018 Lund Impact 1775 SS. The boat has five hours but is full loaded. I could not beat the price. I will pick it up on Friday. Thanks for all the help
I see you went to R&R- I loved working with them. They treated me very well and the pricing was exactly where we wanted to be.
Looks like an awesome rig, same as mine but I have the impact XS so full windshield, double console. The 1775 is roomy already, I can only imagine it feels like a mansion with a single console!
I recently bought a Lund Adventure Tiller drive. I’ll only comment on my reason I chose Lund over Alumacraft.
When I was looking at boats initially I was looking for a used boat, perhaps 2 or 3 years old. I was astonished at the lack of used Lund’s for sale in the market. This got me thinking.
My assumption is, the owners of Lund boats are not looking to buy and sell as much as other brands of boat because they are not happy with the product. This was one of the reasons I bought a new Lund instead of the competition.
congratulations for your lund.
you re right, not much used lund on sale even here where i live
The decision maker for me would be that there is only a choice if you can find both boats, equipped the way you want them, in stock at dealerships. Only then is there really a decision to make unless you’re willing to risk ordering one sight unseen.
I would NOT factor order a boat from any of the midwest manufacturers. These pages and the pages of other forums are full of stories about good boat orders gone bad. Delay after delay after delay and quality issues up the wazoo. Guys sitting without a boat while the season ticks away.
Just my opinion, but what it seems to me is make or break when it comes to boats is not picking the absolute “best”, but the buying and first year’s ownership experience. I don’t care how good the boat is, if a guy has to p!ss away the first 3 months of summer listening to boat dealer’s excuses about how it’s all the factory’s fault, I can’t see that being a fun deal even when the boat DOES show up and even if it’s perfect.

It’s an old TV quote. It was just a little hard to understand but I caught your drift and tried to be funny. Sorry for any insult derived from that.
To add to this thread, I think it’s all about the dealer. I was able to get my new order Lund adventure 1775 with an etec. I could have had a Yamaha or Merc as well. The dealership I went to carry’s all three lines of motors and were happy to install any one of those. I opted for the etec because that’s what the dealership “specializes” in and can get the best price for. I paid $300 more for the etec HO over the ProXS. The warranty is what I felt important. (just for those curious, the F115 Yamaha was $3100 more, sho was $350 more yet)
Also, as far as ordering a new boat goes. I’ve been pretty lucky so far. Dealer has kept me posted all along the process. The new boat was laminated 4 weeks in, processed to ship a week later. Now it’s waiting for shipment (dealer said this could be the longest wait as they won’t ship the boat by itself…) then it’s scheduled for rigging (this week actually) so unless I get delayed from here out, I feel pretty lucky the process has gone as expected.
