Can someone tell me what’s under the floorboards of this 24′ boat? My grandson wants to buy this boat from my buddy and wants to install a better fishing chair onto the floor. And since these younger kids seem to think they know it all; I can just see him drilling a hole into that 96 gallon fuel tank and “BOOM”. Lund Mfg doesn’t respond to my e=mails asking this question: Shame On Them! He also wants to install his Honda 3000 generator under the Starboard seat in the floor. Any pictures or advise would be greatly appreciated. DeltaBob, Calif Delta Sandmound Slough

BY the looks of things he should just plan to replace the floor anyways, she has had some outdoor exposure time. The carpet obviously needs done and that is the perfect time to then do the floor too. That would surely provide the answer.

However, the storage would be really nice to have there and I suspect that in the long run he may regret not rebuilding the under seat storage box/cooler again.

What is his plan for a 3k generator to be used and why not create a bow rack for it if there is really a need for it? Utilize unused space rather than the limited floor space you already have to share with a dog house may be worth looking into.

We fish for Sturgeon and many times they like to pull you outside the Golden Gate bridge. I tied into one two months ago that I couldn’t land. Using only 15lb test (was fishing for Strippers) this big boy took me for a ride. It ran three times, thought it was going to spool me; but thankfully he quit running and I slowly brought him back to the boat. At 68, my Right arm was killing me and I was very happy when he finally got off. Three weeks later and my arm still hurts. We tore up the seats due to other fish gut problems on the deck. Storage fish box was too small for 34 inch strippers that bleed all over the carpet. Land one a nd another one hit so no time to worry about floor mess at that time. Generator ws for late night fishing outside the gate.
