Someone educate me about the Lund 1775 Classic Sport please! What’s that comparable to? Can’t find much info on it anywhere. Is it a Rebel sorta category? How’s it handle rough water? Fishability? Etc? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Just thought to add that I’ll generally be fishing lakes around 6,000 acres and less. So for the most part two-three foot rollers are what I’ll see.

I can’t give you specifics on this but I have a 2006 1700 Fisherman which I believe is one step up in size and hull. I believe both are comparable to the rebel/impact line but you could just call a Lund dealer or walk in and ask. I really like my boat but these lower end Lunds are notoriously underpowered. Mine has a 90HP Johnson 4 stroke and is rated for a 115. I wish it had the 115.

As far as big water, I think you’ll be OK on that size lake so long as you have the full windshield model. I’d be careful on bodies like ML or Red Lake but I think that goes for almost any boat in windy conditions.

There are a few other forums if you google that boat that have a bit of info but it is limited.

If I remember correctly, the casting decks on the Classics were very low compared to other models. That is the deal breaker for me. Other than that, it seems to be a very well equipped boat for the price.

Lund has an archive of their catalogs which gives the specs of the boats.
