I have just purchased a Lund Impact with a baitwell factory installed in front . I was suprised to find that it did not have a net or basket to contain the minnows, such a thing would make it a lot better at the end of the day especialy if fishing is poor and I have lots of bait to re catch. Any suggestions ?

You could always try a Lindy Bait Tamer. One those should fit nicely in your live well.

I don’t think it’s uncommon. I have a new Skeeter that didn’t come with anything.

If I were to need something I’d buy a tamer as suggested.

I made my own out of a fine mesh and a frame bent from coat hanger wire. It doesn’t look great, but it does the job..

I bought a couple of these at a sports show and they are great. Put it in the livewell or baitwell or in an ice hole, then when heading home pour water out and refill with distilled bottled water.

I dont use the front live well in my Impact. Keep the plug in it and use it for food storage or an onboard cooler when out. I keep a bait tamer in the bigger rear live well and have an Engel minnow cooler on board or do the standard white/yellow door flap minnow bucket I troll behind the boat on a rope – I don’t mind that so much. Only time I use the Engel is when I’m up North and the water is cold and I go through minnows jigging walleyes -then the net insert in the cooler pulls up easily, I dont get my hands wet ……
