Asking for a buddy how does the ride compare to the skeeters and warriors and how dry?

Couldn’t tell “your friend” for sure but I can tell him they are heavy boats. They will ride great and will stay as dry as the skill of the guy driving them. You can’t go wrong with any of them. If “your friend” is buying new shag him down to the Boat Center and Dean can line up a side by side comparison of the Skeeter & Warrior.

Looked at the Lund 189GL when I bought the Reata. Didn’t get to drive one but heard the hulls were very good. I talked to a lot of people and everyone said the design and ride was very good. They are a little heavier from what I understand.

My issue was fit and finish wasn’t as good which surprised me. For similar options the Lund was also more expensive.

They are sexy looking boats though. I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of them.

Had a Lund 189GL for 6 years, really liked the ride. At the time of purchase I was drawn to the capacity rating of 8 passengers vs 6, the ski pylon etc., all the family aspects and a solid fishing boat. Sold the boat to a friend with no worries.

Recently purchased a WX2060 and am really impressed. Now the boat is longer and wider than my Lund so its not a fair comparison.

Bottom line – I really liked the Lund glass and would recommend.

In general, I think Lund has been cheapening their boats from a quality perspective for the last decade. I think too much time on top has made them believe they can compromise a little now. I had a 2014 Pro-V 1875 and while I didn’t have any issues with it, I wasn’t really that impressed by the overall quality.

I have a friend selling his and certain I could get him to take you out in it for a test ride…. Or Im sure the Lund dealer will do the same as well.

I have not ridden in a Lund 20-21 ft but I have ridden in a ranger skeeter and warrior of that size. If you are getting wet with a fiberglass windshield boat of that size you are doing something wrong with your driving.
