What type of issues are you having? That boat is on my short list in the near future.

When I bought my Reata in 2019 I was very close to pulling the trigger on the Tyee. However, I was told that mfg had just switched to Mexico and there could be some issues. One of the local dealers said they weren’t going to carry them until they could shake one down.

I was surprised when I got in one at the boat show to see some of the shoddy workmanship. Panels didn’t fit, carpet was misaligned, etc. Quality was the reason we went to the Reata because I’ve been a Lund guy in the past.

Hope you get the issues the sorted out. They are beautiful boats. Sure wish you could have a 200 on the Reata.

Well Brian, The delivery date was postponed due to the pandemic so it was delivered just in time to do the 2 hour break in. On holidays I discovered the the navigation lights when plugged in and turned on shuts off my dash cluster, RPM, Speedo, gas and the led lights on the dash. The stereo does not work and there is no power to the accessory switch. The silicone that seals the deck and hull under the rub rail has fallen out on the port side. There are gaps and some falling out on the starboard side. Many other small things that are adding up.They are silly things but for the money and the reputation of these boats I am worried the structure and integrity of the hull may have the same QC problems. The dealer has said they will remedy these issues but they should not have even left the factory or dealer for that matter.

Ya, that’s a bummer and unacceptable considering the coin these things are going for. Is the dealership working with you?

Yes they are. But I think they are part of the problem. There are things that indicate they did not care how the unit was delivered. It should all get sorted out but makes for a really frustrating summer.

If the dealer doesn’t make it right soon then I would let people know who it was, so they know to steer clear of them in the future. Dealers heck businesses in general need to be held accountable, so the good ones are the ones that stick around.
