The seating on this old tiller steer boat is very uncomfortable. What have you done on your boat to make it more comfortable while running on your lake?
Show us a pic and I’m sure lots of people will have suggestions. Seating for a jon can take some iterations. Does it have the winged bench like the newer predators or a straight bench?
The newer predators have a cushioned seat side-mounted on the winged bench using an aluminum rail – and its probably about as good as it gets.
Well,,, until Jim shares with us what he means by an “older” Lund tiller, we won’t know what hull style he has. While the current Predator is a Mod-V, back in the day they were V-hulls, like this one from 1988.

Oh wow that’s classic right there. Wood trim and everything! Now that I’m looking at them, it looks like the mod-v predator was only just released in 2018 so he is probably not talking about that one.
I think the boat is a 1987. It has a conventional (straight) bench seat with a pedestal seat near center. The base for the seat is cracked because it didn’t have enough strength in the first place for the driver to operate from. I replaced the base but the screws pulled out. I think I’ll configure the bench to an “L” shape like the Pic above. Also will anchor it to the floor. Thank you for your replies. I thought I would be notified of replies but I guess not.
