    I think Cal said he got it from an old refrigerator and had a friend work some fabrication magic on it to make it work with his heater.

    You can also order another front grill for you Buddy ($9.00 or some such), bend the metal it a bit to form it correctly, drill two holes into the Buddy and install it on top as well. If I remember, I’ll post pictures tonight.

    Another (cheaper) option for the big buddy is a 5 gallon paint roller screen and I think the 1 gallon screens will work with the regular buddy. Just be sure to use tin foil on whatever you decide to cook on to keep any grease from getting into your heater.

    They work great for heating chili also, just don’t let it boil over! doah

    I’ve done this for a while and it works great. I just use the smaller top grill that’s attached to my gas grill cut to length. Never used it grilling anyway.
