That’s a great idea. Looks like my wife is going to be mad when she opens the oven door!

I will end up trying this. I am curious how the pizza rolls will turn out though…

Perfect. Crispy outside. Roof of the mouth scalding on the inside.

Are their holes drilled into the heater to mount the grate?

    Great idea!

I see what will happen. Someone will switch it up with a Johnsonville Brat and the liquid flavor aka grease will drip on the heater and the otter ice shack will turn into the Hindenburg! ‘

That’s awesome beats using marshmallow forks.

Been cooking on the buddy heater for years, it’s great! You can pickup small cookie sheet grates at Fleetfarm for $5, trim the extra wires off and bend the ends so you can secure it to the buddy guard. It’s small enough to easily fit inside a sportsman caddy when not in use.

I would recommend cooking in small tinfoil pans vs straight on the grill, drips onto the heat block will cause extra hassle you can live without…

If you had a roll of toilet paper, you’d never have to leave.

I always carry 2 rolls, and garbage bag liners for a 5 gallon bucket. Started doing it when my kids were about 4 and 6 and they went fishing with dad. Ironically I still carry them today and never used them until last year when my now 28 son needed to unleash the beast. Needless to say, that stench ended our day of fishing on Rice. I made him carry the bucket!

I think I’m going to jump on this ! Wonder how long it takes to. My buddy and I will put our gas station buns on the heater to give it a little toast. But this is just awesome.

WOW! That’s awesome! I feel like an idiot now for waisting space in my sled bringing a backpacking stove. I had it with me all along!

I hate to be a poop, but will this void the warranty? I can see it now, Mr Heater getting one back covered in grease.

Besides James, haven’t you bought a toy hauler / fishhouse trailer yet? You could write it off as a mobile production center. Besides, doesn’t Ben deserve a heated kitchen and bathroom out on the ice?

Nice job fellas!! Looks like an awesome idea so that you don’t have to bring a grill with to take up more room.

    Hehehhee!!! It’d be more like:

“Get the Kidde!!! Get the Kidde!!! The Frabill’s on fire!! The Frabill’s on fire!!!”

“But at least it smells like good ol’ Johnsonville bratwurst!”

Disclaimer: I like both Wisconsin Waters and Woods AND Johnsonville brats.

You should try heating left over pizza on a metal ice scoop! Been a trick of mine for years.
