For those that appreciate old guns, I stopped at Cabela’s the other day and found this in their gun room for $850, a 1958 Browning Superposed, 30″ barrels, 3″ chamber, full/mod chokes. Great shape, zero corrosion or pitting, bores bright and shiny. Wood is tight, no cracks or splits just a few minor dents. Bluing is a little faded with some wear on the bottom of the receiver but not bad for a 65 year old gun. Took it straight to the trap range and shot 23/25 first try. Shoots like a dream, balances and points perfect.

That is a very nice find. Don’t know pricing on those, but that seems like a great deal! The Browning Superposed is the only gun my dad talked about regretting ever getting rid of. I think he traded it for one of his Model 12’s.

I think they had it mis-priced. Looking through ended auctions on Gun Broker similar age and condition ones were selling for 2-3 times more.

That’s the kind of gun a guy should be buried with.

Very nice find, someone took proper care of that one. Beautiful patina.

That is a beauty! Makes you wonder what they gave the person who traded it because you know they marked it up a ton!

I have a feeling they messed up when they priced it for resale.

This is my first time really handling or shooting one of these and I have a feeling it may not be the last one I buy. Especially since I let my wife shoot sporting clays with it yesterday and it looks like it may have turned into her Mother’s Day present.
