    Has anyone tried the Elite-5x DSI seems to be a good price if it works good

    I use the downscan on my HDS units all the time, which should be pretty much the same as the elite. I very rarely run the regular sonar anymore. I find the downscan easier to decipher structure. There is a learning curve with it as you no longer get fish arches, you just get blobs, but once you learn it, I expect you would like it.
