Upgrading from LCX 27 and LMS 520 to the new HDS w/structure scan and have a few questions I hope you guys can answer. Can I use all my existing cables and just replace the units themselves, I have my older units networked together now. What additional work will I need to do to add the structure scan and do I need additional cables or do they come with it? And lastly will I still be able to use my lake master chip in the new units?
    Thanks
    Geoff

You can use your LCX/LMS power cables to power the HDS units

but you will need to disconnect the NMEA power leads

from one of those PC’s and power the network separately.

    See part # 119-75 @ LEI-Extras.com

You will need an additonal ethernet cable to connect both

units to the StructureScan. It only comes with one. (15 ft)

The upside to using the PC’s that come with the HDS units
is that you can connect the yellow wire from the StructureScan power cable to the yellow wire of the HDS power cable and when you power up the HDS the SS-1 will power on as well.

Both units still need to be powered to 12 volts. (fused)

Yes you will be able to use your LakeMaster SD’s in your
HDS units. Standard size or micros with an adaptor.
